Salengor FC Defender, Richmond Ankrah, believes his move into the Malaysian league did not affect his former team Accra Lions’ debut season in the Ghana Premier League.
Ankrah, acknowledged players for the league’s survival in debut season and stated they all worked for a pleasant season.
“Along the way, I’d to exit in the middle of the league, because I’d a chance to travel.
I don’t think it had any negative impact on the team because we’re a young team. We have great, wonderful talent upcoming guys”.
“They also proved a point whenever they are being put on the field. They proved a point.
They showed the whole of the nation that yes, they can do something for the team.
At the end of the season, they proved that when one person is not around, they can take the mantle.
I’m happy that the team and everyone worked very hard to stay in the GPL”.
Ankrah, currently plys trade with Salengor FC in the Malaysian Super League and positioned 5th on the league.
