USA based Ghanaian boxing sensation, Joseph Awinongya, has won USA Nationals for the 15th time in his division.
The USA nationals which is held annually in the State for boxers saw Awinongya Jnr winning it for the 15t time in his division.
Held in the state of Texas, Lubbock precisely, Awinongya Jnr shrugged off competitions from Yoell Cooper and David Lona Jnr respectively in his first and second fights to set up an intriguing final phase of the boxing competition.
His final fight saw him winning convincingly over Aldo Blancas to pick his 15th championship belt in the competition making him one of the best and fierce boxer in the USA Nationals competition over the years.
The victory therefore qualifies him for the Silver Gloves of which he has twice won that championship belt.
The young American-Ghanaian super star is tipped as one for the future and the brightest within his ranks.
His dad who doubles as his coach, Joseph Awinongya SNR, hails from the Northern Region of Ghana and has served as an inspiration for the young champion haven himself experienced a career in boxing during his youthful life.
Awinongya Jnr, has received various recognitions within Chicago for his career success and philanthropic works in Ghana.
