“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams and keep working to make them come true.” This is the philosophy of the ardent Dorothy Ndede Kojo.
Born as the first child of her parents in a small village (New Kabenla Suazo) in the western region of Ghana, she sees herself as a natural born leader and takes her responsibilities as one very seriously.
In other to support herself ,Dorothy juggled various jobs while studying for her diploma in business management.
Currently she uses her diploma to work as a consultant and an administrative assistant with a start up company. However, she is back to school and is in her final year pursuing a Bachelors degree in business administration. Her dream is to obtain the highest level of education in her field of study.
Dorothy is the epitome of passion, confidence and determination, she believes that hard work and dedication will aid her on her path to success.
Her passion to be of service to the rural communities is nourished by both her struggles ,experiences and that of the community she comes from. She started her journey of service as a teenager ,volunteering for various social projects especially for young girls in rural areas.
Today she runs a foundation that focuses its projects on supporting girls in rural communities.
It is her hope that the Miss Universe Ghana platform will be an opportunity for her to become a representation of hope to girls like her who come from such disadvantaged communities and as well be an avenue to champion her advocacy for menstrual health and its related problems.
Miss Universe Ghana has been a dream of hers and much grateful and happy for how far she got in the competition.
Placing 1st runner up in a competition with some of the most accomplished women in Ghana is a great accomplishment.
The next step for her is to use this platform to further her social transformational project which is Personal Hygiene and Menstrual Health Education through her non for profit organisation (The Ndede Kojo Foundation)
She also has plan to undertake other projects to support the young girls in her community in entrepreneurship, Education and Information Technology.
